PMT Hosts Named Partners of Australia Basketball Franchise

Yes, you read that correctly! The guys from the #1 sports podcast in the world, Pardon My Take were announced as partners, along with former Miami Heat guard Matt Walsh, of the New Zealand Breakers (a/k/a the Sky City Breakers under a sponsorship deal) of Australias National Basketball league.

Hosts Dan “Big Cat” Katz and PFT Commenter, along with the shows producer Hank Lockwood were named in a group headed up by Walsh. When asked about the new venture, Walsh commented:

“We were attracted to the club for a number of reasons, they clearly know how to win on the court, with eight playoff appearances in the last 11 years, five grand finals and four championships.”

He continued by reiterating…

“Our main interest was in the amazing culture that the BLACKWELLS and others have built over that time, combined with the growth of basketball in NEW ZEALAND and being located in the world class city of AUCKLAND.”

“The NBL is one of the best leagues in the world and enjoying record crowds and levels of interest,” added WALSH. “The league is only going to continue to get stronger and we want to be a part of that and help the BREAKERS grow and make the most of the opportunities afforded by being a part of the NBL.”

Let’s be honest… we have no idea if the team will be any good or not, all I know… is that the content will be good!
