Edison Releasing Industry Growth Blueprint

Edison Research will unveil the results of a new study on Podcasting in a keynote address July 24 at Podcast Movement in Philadelphia. Edison says the new information will “provide a research-based road map for the podcasting industry to grow audience and increase exposure to podcasts.” Radio Ink will also be covering Podcast Movement, with reports being posted to our Facebook and Twitter feeds, as well as our daily morning headlines.

Edison Senior VP Tom Webster said, “We are thrilled to once again be given the keynote stage at Podcast Movement, which has really become the premier event in the space. This is exciting for the industry that typically relies on Edison for industry growth numbers. The fact that they are moving towards an industry growth blueprint that could help the podcasting industry scale similar to larger social platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Snap Chat. While podcasting isn’t an “app” like those aforementioned brands, it is a platform that is growing at a rapid pace. With the emergence of voice technology and smart speakers, it’s a real possibility that 5 years from now, everyone will be creating content via audio like they do via Instagram/Facebook posts now.
